I had a great time at the Quay Arts in Newport, Isle of Wight, alongside other local authors. Met some lovely fellow writers and readers.
I had my first event for The Devil to Pay at Lord Louis Library in Newport on the Isle of Wight. Sold and signed a few books and chatted with some people which was nice. Also donated copies of Leeward and The Devil to Pay so they are available in a few Island libraries now.
I had my first structured talk alongside the wonderful JD Davies at Medina Bookshop on the Isle of Wight. We chatted about naval fiction and the processes of writing it. I was so nervous for this but I enjoyed myself, after a bit of a nervy start!
I took part in the From Inspiration to Publication panel at the Isle of Wight Literary Festival, talking with Anna Britton, Sarah Lawton, and Angela Buckley about our experiences in the publishing world.
I gave a small talk at the Ventnor Arts Club about my experience of writing historical fiction. It was lovely to do a very local event!

On July 24 at 8pm, I will be 'In Conversation' with the Isle of Wight literary magazine, Brevity, at Department, Ryde. I will take part in a Q&A, discussing my journey as a writer and the publishing industry, and there will be dramatic readings of excerpts from Leeward! Tickets are £7 and available here.
